Bihar is drowning, and the saddest part is that the cries for help are barely being heard. Around 34 lakh people across 13 districts of Bihar have been severely affected by the floods. Roads have been cut off, villages have been isolated, and several rivers, including the Ganga and its tributaries, are flowing above dangerous levels. But behind these numbers are lakhs of families whose lives have been completely disrupted.
How many of us are actually talking about them? How many of us know what these families are going through right now? For some, the biggest need is food. For others, it is clean drinking water. Many need medicines and essentials, while countless families are simply waiting for the water to recede so they can reach their homes again.
Imagine if it were your family. Imagine waking up to floodwater surrounding your home. Imagine not knowing where your next meal will come from, or having a sick child or elderly parent with no medicine available. Imagine calling for help while the roads leading to your village are underwater.
What would your response be? Would you want the world to look away simply because the crisis was happening somewhere else? This is why True Hope Foundation is stepping forward to support flood-affected families in Bihar with essential relief such as food, clean water, medicines, and other necessities.
Because 34 lakh people are not just a statistic. They are parents, children, grandparents, and entire families waiting for someone to stand with them. Bihar has suffered enough. Let us not ignore it this time.
Your contribution can help True Hope Foundation reach families who desperately need support and give them something they need right now- hope that they have not been forgotten. Bihar is calling for help. Let us make sure someone answers.
